DAVISON — Miss Davison Scholarship Pageant has been crowning excellence since 1938. Sometimes excellence means putting public health first.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing restrictions on events for the foreseeable future, pageant officials have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Miss Davison Pageant.

This is not the first time the pageant has been affected by world events. It was also suspended from 1940-1948 due to World War II.

The pageant has a strong history of 82 years and will resume in 2021, along with the Princess Program.

The reigning Miss Davison, Sophia Biazza, and her court, Grace White and Emily Moriartey, will continue until then, resuming duties as it is appropriate and safe to do so.

To ensure that no young lady misses out on an opportunity to participate, the age limit will be increased to age 19 for the 2021 pageant only.

Any questions can be emailed to Missdavison@charter.net.
