— The 5th annual Flint Women & Girls Day, sponsored by the Flint Women and Girls Fund of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, is 7:30 a.m. Oct. 19 at Sarvis Center.
This year’s event will feature the presentation of the 2010 Libby Award, given to a deserving woman who exemplifies the philanthropic values of Olivia P. “Libby” Maynard for whom the award is named. Susan L. Moulton, MSN of Flushing, a nurse practitioner at Women’s Health Care Associates, is this year’s Libby Award recipient. For the past 36 years, Moulton has dedicated herself to women’s health care both professionally through her role as a nurse practitioner and personally through numerous philanthropic activities.
In addition to the Libby Award presentation, the event will feature an update on the Status of Women and Girls in Genesee County Research Project, funded by the Flint Women and Girls Fund.
