6th annual Run4Wine event coming up

GENESEE COUNTY – More than a thousand people are expected to meet on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. for the Sixth Annual Run4Wine 4 Mile Run/Walk. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Old Newsboys of Flint.

“This race gives people a chance to have fun while contributing to a worthy cause,” said Old Newsboys executive director Christopher Hamilton.

Proceeds from the Run4Wine event will provide funds to the Old Newsboys to once again offer Christmas boxes to children in need throughout the community. The Old Newsboys have put presents under the tree for more than 806,000 children across Genesee County. Last year alone, 6,468 children received gifts from the Old Newsboys.

The Run4Wine race route will take place exclusively on the Jewel of Grand Blanc Golf Course, which not only provides a spectacular autumn view, but also offers a challenging cross country run with an uphill finish. The after party includes a delicious dinner buffet and tastings, including wine and specialty cocktails. Entertainment will be provided by Bill Young Entertainment. Shirt sizing is guaranteed to all entrants signed up by Sept. 28. Sign up today at www.run4winerace.com.
