FLINT TWP. — Political signs aren’t the only ones seen popping up in yards around the township.

Carman-Ainsworth supporters are showing their school spirit by sporting Cavalier blue and white yard signs. The 18 x 24-inch corrugated plastic signs come with a 30-inch stand and are being sold for $15 each. For an extra $5, the signs can be personalized with smaller6x24-inchridersthatattachtothe top of the basic sign. Riders add a variety of labels such as graduation year, athletic team, school name and other club affiliations.

The durable signs are printed with UV inks to be weatherproof. Orders placed before October 8 were due back in time for Homecoming this week.

The Homecoming Parade is set to start at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, from South Baptist Church on Van Slyke Road, heading south to Maple Road then east to the middle school. The Homecoming football game versus Lapeer High School kicks off at 7 p.m..
