All BLM supporters aren’t anti-American

After reading the letter to the editor on May 20, I believe it needs repeating. If someone is holding up a sign that reads ‘BLM’, it does not necessarily mean that they support the BLM organization, but rather they very likely just support the idea that Black Lives Matter, and wish to bring attention to the plight of African-Americans who seem to be on the receiving end of a great deal of unnecessary and unjustified violence.

Not every ‘BLM’ supporter is an Anti- American, atheistic, Marxist-loving, racist, law-abolishing, criminal and the sooner we can see that, the faster we can begin having better conversations about racial issues and begin working towards fixing an issue that has plagued America since its founding. — Glen Adams, Grand Blanc Township
