Animal Emergency Hospital, 1148 E. Bristol Rd., has been serving the surrounding communities of the greater Flint area for 28 years.

AEH was founded in 1985 by 18 Genesee County veterinarians who wished to offer after hour emergency services to the community. AEH has been privately owned since 2004 and under new ownership since 2011.

It was originally located on Ballenger Hwy. in Flint and moved to Burton in January 2010. AEH is unique being open during the hours that your family veterinarians are not to ensure that your beloved companions have access to veterinary care 24/7. Their goal is to deliver compassionate and quality medical care when your pets need it most.

AEH provides after hour emergency veterinary services and therefore takes no appointments but sees patients on a walk-in basis whom are triaged upon arrival.

They have 18 employees ranging from one year to more than 20 years of experience in veterinary medicine.

AEH assists in mentoring and training of Baker College Veterinar y Technology students, donates to local charities and they are involved with local associations.

The hospital proudly became AAHA accredited in 2012 by voluntarily meeting standards of veterinary medicine that demonstrates they provide excellent patient care and client service. AAHA stands for American Animal Hospital Association and it was developed to help veterinarians and veterinary hospitals to follow guidelines for a high standard of medicine.

AEH is continually striving to provide a higher quality of care and to earn the trust of their community. AEH wants the community to know they care and they are available to serve in time of need.
