FLINT — Financial Plus Credit Union and the Swartz Creek Area Chamber of Commerce will host their annual Whatchamacallit networking event from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at Financial Plus Credit Union’s main office, G-3381 Van Slyke Rd.
This premier event aims to raise money for the Old Newsboys of Flint and nonperishable food items for the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. This networking event gives local business professionals a chance to interact with hundreds of other businesses and community professionals, while benefiting two local charities.
Non-perishable food items will be accepted throughout the event for the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and 100 percent of funds raised will go directly to Old Newsboys of Flint.
“Without donations there might not be a Christmas for some families. The support and donations we receive from Whatchamacallit will help children in Genesee County have a Christmas, and will provide food so families don’t go hungry.” said Olga Long, senior vice president of Financial Plus Credit Union.
Prize drawings, a breakfast buffet, a photo booth from Freeze Frame Photo Lounge, and an appearance from Frosty the Snowman himself will bring out the holiday spirit in each attendee. Radio stations will be broadcasting all morning from the Financial Plus including: CK 105.5, Cars 108, and NASH FM 95.1.
To learn more about Whatchamacallit or to make a donation, please contact Kristen Zielinski of Financial Plus Credit Union at (810) 244-2507.
