Amber Taylor, Executive Director of Back to the Bricks said, “Back to the Bricks has taken the safety and health of the car enthusiasts very seriously. We made difficult decisions over the past year and a half, but we knew if we could all do our part then, we could see our friends and celebrate our cars again at all our events now.”
“I can’t wait for Tune-Up week and driving into all these amazing and supportive communities. The fun everyone will have, but the thing I keep remembering most, is that we are not only promoting our Main Event which will follow the next week, we are contributing to each of these communities. The shopping, the fuel, the food, it’s all about helping these businesses and owners thrive after the closures.”
Taylor said planning this year’s ‘Tune-Up’ Parties came right down to the lifting of the restrictions officially July 1. Many of the cities were excited but hesitant and wanted to ensure the safety and health of those who will attend, she said.
“These Tune-Up events each night will draw anywhere from 200-500 cars, which most will have two people in. Making sure these cities were ready for this influx right after the shutdowns was a priority for all. Happy to say, all cities are thrilled and ready to have us roll on in,” said Tony Bauer, Chairman of the Tune-Up Parties.
