FLINT TWP. — Observant passersby may have noticed a new sign outside of the bar and banquet facility at 1519 W. Bristol Road near Van Slyke.
A new sign hailing the opening of the “Dream Bar & Grill” has replaced the former Cooper’s Bar sign that hung around for more than a year since the former business closed in the fall of 2011 after only about five months of operating.
Since about 2007, the 10,000 squarefoot Tudor-style brick building has been home to several short-term enterprises including Liquid’s Sports Bar & Grill circa 2008 and Fish Bonz Grille Banquet & Convention Center which opened in 2007 then changed its name to Bristol Fish and Grille during its stay.
For many years until 2001, the facility had a successful run as Bosley’s restaurant and banquet facility, one of several eateries operated by noted local restaurateur Doug Bosley.
New owners of the Dream did not respond to a request for details about this latest venture. But its Facebook page indicates that a grand opening was held on March 30 and several events have been hosted every weekend since. The new roadside sign out front posts operating hours as Thursday through Sunday.
The facility boasts several social amenities including three fireplaces, a meeting room, banquet facility and restaurant/bar area.
