BETHANY DEFRESNE, 61, died June 3, 2021. In accordance with Bethany’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date. Bethany was born in Flint, Michigan on May 29, 1960, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John and Maude (Saylor) Lengyel. Bethany, affectionately known by her family and friends as, “Ma”, “Beth”, “Dolly”, “Doll”, “Aunt Doll”, and “Betsy”. Beth was raised and educated locally; Beth graduated from Grand Blanc High School with the Class of 1978. She was employed by General Motors and worked at both Flint and Lake Orion Assembly Divisions. Beth loved arts and crafts. She was particularly creative with her sewing, as well as, her stained-glass creations, which she shared with her family at Christmas gatherings, sibling’s birthdays, and with her friends.
Left to cherish Beth’s memory are spouse, Bill Dufresne; son, Adam and wife, Amanda Lengyel; grandsons, Jake Lengyel and Riley Filer; sisters, Elaine and husband, Dave Thillen, Denise and husband, Michael Smith; brother, Dennis Lengyel; nieces and nephews, Jason and wife, Jennifer Lengyel, Heather Burke, Nicholas Lengyel, Joseph Lengyel, and Ryan Smith; great-niece and nephew, Katie and Christopher Lengyel, and Reyes Smith, her other sons; David Shanks, Nick Majeski, and Brett Martin, and Steve Steele, and favorite feline companions Cash and Gizzy.
She is preceded in death by her parents John & Maude Lengyel; sister, Marge Burke; brother, John Lengyel; sister, Julie Lengyel.
