Eyeglass business robbed
FLINT TWP. — Police responding to an alarm in the 5000 block of Bristol Road at about 8:30 p.m. on May 27 arrived to find that the back door had been pried open. A keyholder arrived on the scene and reported that the cash box had been taken containing an undetermined amount of money. Several pairs of eyeglasses also were taken. Police have no suspects.
Daytime home break-in
FLINT TWP. — Two 21-year-old Flushing males and one 21-year-old Flushing female were arrested and charged with breaking into and stealing money from an unoccupied home in the 5400 block of Flushing Road. Called to the scene at about 12:30 p.m. on June 2, officers confirmed that a home invasion had occurred. A witness gave a description of a car she said had dropped off a male before driving away. Police were able to locate the car following a central dispatch broadcast providing a description. A traffic stop was made and the suspects ultimately taken into custody.
Attempted burglary at a Miller Road restaurant
FLINT TWP. — Responding to an alarm at about 3:10 a.m. on June 1, officers found that a drivethrough window had been pried open at a restaurant in the 3000 block of Miller Road. Officers entered the building and found that the suspects were gone. A restaurant manager arrived on the scene and said that nothing appeared to have been stolen. It is uncertain if entry was made. There are no suspects.
