Drive-by shooting targets shoot back
FLINT TWP. — Responding to reports of shots being fired, officers were dispatched to the 4400 block of Carmanwood Drive at about 4 a.m. on April 11. As a result of an investigation at the scene, it was determined that a vehicle had driven by a residence and fired some rounds at it. The gunfire was returned by occupants of the house. No one was injured but there was damage to the house. Police arrested a 20-year old Flint man from the residence in connection with the incident.
Hotel rooms vandalized
FLINT TWP. — On April 9 at 1:10 p.m. officers responded to a report of a burglary at a hotel in the 2200 block of Bristol Road. Multiple rooms had been vandalized and copper stolen from above the ceiling tiles. The hotel was open for business at the time of the theft but the rooms were unoccupied. There are no suspects.
Retail fraud arrest
FLINT TWP. — On April 7 at 8:15 p.m., officers responded to reports of a retail fraud in progress in the 4400 block of Corunna Road. Upon arrival, officers were informed by loss prevention that the suspect had left and ran across Corunna Road. Officers went to the area and found a suspect matching the description. The suspect, a 17-yearold Flint man, fled but was apprehended and arrested after a foot chase. Loss prevention reported that the suspect had left the store with an Ipod in his coat pocket. When asked by loss prevention, he denied having it but was later observed returning it to the store and leaving it on a shelf. — Compiled by Rhonda S. Sanders
