FENTON — View Newspaper Group is proud to announce that the first-ever Bottles, Brews & News will take place 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28 in Rackham Park in downtown Fenton.
Bottles, Brews & News is View Newspaper Group’s craft beer and wine fest. Along with beer and wine samples, the event will feature food and live music under a big tent in the park.
“View Newspaper Group has a history of hosting community events as a way to further connect the communities we serve. When Tri-County Times joined the View Newspaper Group family in January, we knew we wanted to bring a new signature event to the Fenton community,” said View Newspaper Group publisher Wes Smith. “Our brand team has been hard at work getting the necessary approvals, securing a nonprofit partner and seeking sponsors to make Bottles, Brews & News a reality.”
Bottles, Brews & News will benefit FARR (Fenton Area Resources and Referral Network, Inc.). Formed in 1990 by community leaders, churches and civic organizations, FARR works with residents of the Fenton, Lake Fenton and Linden communities. FARR provides assistance to individuals and families in crisis by assessing their basic needs (food, shelter, health) and identifying immediate and long-term objectives. FARR then coordinates with local partnering organizations to help address those needs and raise their level of self-sustainability. Building relationships and community through partnerships with local churches and nonprofits is the cornerstone of FARR and its success.
“FARR is very excited to be partnering with View Newspaper Group,” said FARR Executive Director Dawn Placek. “We look forward to this partnership and this great new community event.”
Advance tickets to Bottles, Brews & News are $25 and include five tasting tickets and a souvenir glass. Additional tasting tickets will be available at the event for $1 each. The event is for those 21 and older only. Tickets are available now at myfenton.com. They will also be available soon at the Tri-County Times office, 256 N. Fenway Dr.
“Our team is so excited for Bottles, Brews & News,” said Brand Manager Emily Caswell. “I’m excited, not only because I’m a downtown Fenton resident and love to have fun in my own backyard, but because I’ve seen how events like this have a way of connecting people to each other, their community and area businesses. Best of all, we get a chance to raise funds for a worthy cause.”
