Boys fifth, girls 10th at Chesaning in cross country invitational

CHESANING – The Carman- Ainsworth boys’ cross country team finished fifth at last Thursday’s Chesaning Invite, posting a 138. The girls placed 10th by recording a 275. Ann Arbor Huron won both races with a boys’ score of 38 and a 45 for the girls.

Jack Carter led the Carman- Ainsworth boys in second in 16:27.77, Kielin Thompson placed ninth in 17:05.52 and Jack Roy 15th in 17:48.02. Dalero McNeal took 47th in 19:19.69, Alex Wickham 69th in 20:30.32 and Vincent Cook 71st in 21:16.67. Ian Wickham was 72nd in 21:17.03 and Zion Clingman 95th in 24:03.82.

Ayianna Massey was in 21st to lead the Lady Cavs in 22:36.60. Priscilla Bradford-Walker took 56th in 25:09.28, Rachel Allen was 80th in 28:50.17 and Emma Thorpe 81st in 29:12.25. Hannah Kirby crossed the finish line in 31:05.17 for 87th and C Coleman-Ervine was 90th in 32:22.23.

The Cavaliers are at Frankenmuth today and Linden Saturday. – B.P.
