FLINT — The Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint has appointed Tauzzari Robinson as Executive Director effective immediately. Robinson, formerly Director of Programs and Operations has served as the interim Executive Director since April.
Robinson brings with him a wealth of experience, energy and enthusiasm to further the Club’s mission of inspiring and enabling all young people, especially those in need, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Robinson has served on the staff of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint in various leadership roles for more than five years. In addition, Robinson brings experience from his previous positions held with three Boys & Girls Clubs across the Midwest. In 2009, Tauzzari was named the Boys and Girls Club Professional of the Year for the state of Michigan. Robinson was a Boys and Girls Club member during his youth and credits the Club for having a major influence in his life.
“The Board is very pleased to have Tauzzari in the Executive Director role as we continue to provide Flint’s youth with a safe place for after school and summer programming,” said Pam Murdock, Board President.
“I am extremely honored for the opportunity to lead the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint and to serve the community,” said Robinson. “In the eight years that I have worked as a Boys & Girls Club professional in different organizations, I have had the opportunity to see what an amazing youth service organization we have here in Flint.
Robinson holds a master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in non-profit administration from University of Michigan-Flint and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Toledo. Tauzzari and his wife, Dr. Meggan Robinson reside in Genesee County. — G.G.
