FLINT TWP. — An unspecified safety concern resulted in a brief lockdown Monday morning, at Carman-Ainsworth High School.
“Carman-Ainsworth High School went into a Secure Mode Lockdown today at approximately 10:45 a.m. as a precautionary measure to investigate a potential safety concern reported to the high school administration,” said CAHS Principal Deborah Davis, in a December 7 notice to parents.
The high school administration and the School Resource Officer were able to investigate and resolve the reported concern without incident, she said. Upon ensuring that there was no threat to the safety of students, the lockdown was lifted at approximately 11 a.m. and normal activity resumed for the remainder of the school day.
