FIA hosts works of printmaker Sidney Hurwitz
FLINT — The Flint Institute of Arts (FIA) will present the graphic works of artist Sidney Hurwitz in the Ford Graphics Gallery through July 3.
Hurwitz focuses his printmaking images on industrial machinery and architecture. He finds American industry a great source of visual material, and by focusing on the geometric forms of bridges, factories and train stations, the compositions often take on abstract qualities.
The FIA is open Monday-Wednesday and Friday noon-5 p.m.; Thursday noon-9 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 1-5 p.m. There is no charge for admission to the permanent collection galleries and all Saturdays are Target Free.
