Brookwood team finishes in second place

BURTON — The IMA Brookwood 17u All-Stars finished second at the National Car Rental PGA Jr. League Regional at Purdue University’s Kampen Course in West Lafayette, Ind., the weekend of Sept. 4-5.

The competition is split into two age divisions: 13u (boys and girls ages 10-13) and 17u (boys and girls ages 14-17). At the Regional, four 13u All-Star teams competed for a spot in the National Car Rental PGA Jr. League Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, Oct. 7-10, to be broadcast live on select ESPN networks.

Simultaneously, three 17u All-Star teams will compete to determine the 17u age division’s inaugural champion.

The IMA Brookwood 17u All-Stars finished in the second seed after a score of 150 on the 18-hole team aggregate stroke play on Saturday. The weekend of Sept. 4-5, they shot a 9-hole aggregate score total of 71, bringing their total to 221 and earning them a second place finish in the age division’s All-Star debut.
