BURTON F. SAYERS, 84, of Lapeer, MI, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on a later date.

Burton was born in Davison, MI on October 9, 1937, son of the late Foster L. and Fern Ethel (Caryl) Sayers. He married Peggy Jean Wallace on May 29, 1982 and she preceded him in death on January 24, 2015. Burt was energetic and driven. He served in the U.S. Navy Construction Battalion or Seabees and was a member of the Davison High School wrestling team. Burt continued his wrestling career at Western Michigan University while earning a Bachelor of Industrial Arts degree. After retiring from AC Spark Plug (GM), Burt was actively involved in the gravel mining operations of MI Gravel with Robert Gilling of Caro (business partner). His love for Jesus, family and people were fundamental in his life. Burt left a lasting impression on all those he met, which always included a firm handshake or a big Burt hug. His zest, passion and love for life will be deeply missed. Burt’s memories will carry us through until we meet again. Thank you, Jesus for the best dad, father-in-law and grandpa anyone could ever ask for.
