FLINT TWP. — A Burton man was killed Sunday after driving through a red light in Flint Township and striking another vehicle.
Flint Township Police responded to the two-car crash at Corunna and South Dye roads, where an investigation showed Kenneth Saunders, 86, of Burton was traveling westbound on Corunna Road and was possibly having a medial emergency. Saunders’ vehicle traveled through a red light at South Dye Road, striking a vehicle operated by a 65-year-old Boyne City resident.
Saunders was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The other driver was transported to a local hospital with non-lifethreatening injuries.
