BURTON — School board candidates have filed petitions to be on the ballot in the Atherton, Bendle, Bentley and Kearsley school districts, Nov. 4.
In the Atherton Community School district, there are three, 6-year seats available. Incumbents Scott Hynes and Sandra Talbot are challenged by candidates Jason B. Waisanen and Tim Shokey.
There are three, 6-year seats open on the Bendle Public Schools Board of Education. Incumbents Rodney Winter, Brad N. Scott and Deborah S. Dunsmore will be challenged by resident John Stanke. There is also one seat, partial term ending Dec. 31, 2024, and the only candidate filed for that position is Rene Robbins, an incumbent.
In the Bentley Community Schools Board of Education race, there are four, 4-year-seats available. Incumbents Toby Jean Bauldry, Cheryl Blosser, Katrina Bailey and Ty Burt are seeking re-election, while newcomer Kevin W. Burge is also running for one of the seats.
Voters in the Kearsley Community School district will decide on three seats, all 6-year terms, in the Nov 4 election. They will decide from a field of candidates that includes
Incumbents DesRae A. Joubran and Chad L. Boggs will face challengers Robert Ploof, Jr., Kelly K. Fenner and Lanny Valentine in the election. — G.G.
