Gas prices continue to fall
GENESEE COUNTY — Average retail gasoline prices in Michigan have fallen 14.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $3.54 a gallon. This compares with the national average that has fallen 6.5 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.58 a gallion, according to gasoline price website www.MichiganGasPrices.com. Including the change in gas prices in Michigan during the past week, prices yesterday were 70.9 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 41.0 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The national average has decreased 21.0 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 84.0 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago. — G.G.
Government contract seminars
FLINT — There are still two classes left in the Secrets to Successfull Government Contracting summr series hosted by the PTAC of the Genesee Chamber of Commerce. The classes are on July 22 and Aug. 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce in the Mott Board Room. The seminars will be conducted by Todd Olson, Program Director of the Northwest Michigan PTAC office in Traverse City.
The cost for each class is $15.
