Business owner organizing downtown farmers’ market

SWARTZ CREEK — One Swartz Creek entrepreneur is working on bringing a farmer’s market to downtown Swartz Creek this summer.

Tracey Henry Schwalbach, who owns Green Tree Essentialz and Giftz in Charlotte and Saginaw, plans to host the market in the lot at her newest location at 4495 Morrish Road.

“I am so excited to organize the farmers’ market because it will bring great options and convenience to my clients and the town,” said Schwalbach, a doctor of naturopathy who offers natural health and spiritual services.

“Fresh, raw foods are number one on a healthy, clean eating protocol. Local honey is wonderful for allergies, and fresh eggs are amazing! Good, clean foods are healing; they build the immune system.”

Schwalbach is a Swartz Creek native who has dreamed of opening a location in her home town.

“I love our little town and, right now, with the other new businesses coming to town, I feel like we are going to be a great destination,” she said.

Schwalbach said she is “super excited” about the farmers’ market and she’s looking for vendors to fill the spaces.

“We are hoping to start with our space and grow throughout town,” she said.

Markets will be open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays, from May 26 through Oct. 16.
