C-A Dye Elementary received $10,000 from Burlington Stores



FLINT TWP. — Burlington Stores, Inc., through its partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, has donated $10,000 to Carman-Ainsworth’s Dye Elementary in celebration of its new store in Flint.

Representatives from Burlington Stores presented the check to Dye Principal Detra Fields during an assembly at the school on April 30.

A representative from AdoptAClassroom.org contacted school administrators and helped to secure the donation for Dye Elementary, which will provide new supplies for each teacher’s classroom. According to Principal Fields, the teachers will use the funds on a number of new classroom items.

“On behalf of Dye Elementary, I would like to thank Burlington and AdoptAClassroom.org for adopting our entire school,” said Fields. “Our teachers look forward to using the funds to enhance learning in our school and in their classrooms. We are thankful for the support we received from Burlington and AdoptAClassroom.org.”

Burlington, in partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, makes a donation to a local school in each Grand Opening market to celebrate a new store location. The Burlington store will open on May 11 at Pirate’s Cove Shopping Center, 4095 Miller Road. The store
