Call for sci-fi, fantasy art for Guild 2nd annual show

SWARTZ CREEK — The Swartz Creek Area Art Guild is looking for entries for its 2nd annual Fantasy and Sci- Fi art show in October.

Entries may include a variety of media, including photography, metal, acrylic, oil, mixed media, textile and glass.

Please limit pieces to no bigger than 30 inches by 30 inches. Entries should include titles and the medium and must have been created within the last two years.

All entries must have a fantasy or sci-fi theme. Nudes are prohibited. All hanging artwork must include a wire on the back.

Entries may be dropped off at the gallery, 8048 Miller Road, Suite G, between Oct. 5 and 8. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The show will open Saturday, Oct. 10, and continue through Saturday, Oct. 24.

The entry fee is $20 for artists 19 years old or older; $5 for artists 13 to 18 years old; and free for artists 5 to 12 years old.

First, second and third place prizes will be awarded in each age group.
