CAMS becomes new YouthQuest site

FLINT TWP. — Carman- Ainsworth Middle School is one of four sites added this year to the YouthQuest after-school and summer program.

Other new sites for the growing youth development program are at Carter Elementary in the Montrose School District, LakeVille Middle School in the LakeVille School District and the International Academy of Flint, the first charter school site.

CAMS is the fourth CA program to join YouthQuest. Other programs are held at Randels, Rankin and Dye elementary schools.

Spearheaded by the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce, YouthQuest is a free program offered to students in the Carman-Ainsworth, Flint, Mt. Morris, LakeVille and Montrose school districts. Students must be enrolled by a parent to join.

The comprehensive after-school program provides students at the elementary and middle school levels an opportunity to improve their academic skills, increase knowledge of good health and nutrition, grow their personal skills and become better prepared for future life and academic challenges.

At Carman-Ainsworth Middle School, YouthQuest students will enjoy a wide range of activities including fun with math, science, reading, life skills, social development; team building techniques/groups, computer activities, arts and craft, and sports.

Each week, there is a special activity planned by Adrienne Niles-Smith and the YouthQuest site team!
