FLINT TWP. — A wall mural by local artists will be unveiled when Capitol Coney Island, 4021 Van Slyke Road, Flint, Michigan hosts the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce for their monthly ‘Lunch Is On Us’ event, from noon to 1`:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9.
Owners Nick and Anastasia Pirkovic, along with the Capitol Coney Island team invite everyone to attend. During the event, attendees will be able to network with Chamber members as well as enjoy lunch, which will be provided by Capitol. During the event, local artists Charles Boike and Kevin Burdick will be revealing their latest mural, a 90’ by 30’ mural on the back wall of Capitol. The duo teamed up once again during the Capitol Coney Island 10 Year Anniversary, where they showcased their skills with a live graffiti session.
Boike is a practicing attorney and painter whose work appears in many homes, businesses and public places in Genesee County, according to a biography on his company’s web site. He has been a featured artist of the Ruth Mott Foundation and was one of the top five winners of Oakland County’s “MI Great Artist Competition.” He also is a member of the Greater Flint Arts Council Board of Directors
Born in Flint and raised in Fenton, Burdick studied art at Mott Community College and is the owner of Scrap Designs, specializing in automotive airbrushed art. He also studied Animation and Illustration at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.

“We have supported the Chamber for some time, and we are happy to continue to do so” said Nick Pirkovic.
