FLINT – The Cavalier boys finished second at Friday’s team regional, sending them to Friday and Saturday’s Div. 1 state meet at Sterling Lanes in Sterling Heights. They totaled a 3,793, finishing only second to Davison. The girls finished the day in ninth with a 3,446 pinfall total.
At the individual regional, Charles Hall, Jr. qualified for the state meet with a ninth-place finish of 1,188. Zachary Rhodes took 19th with 1,109, Wanya Montgomery was 24th with 1,083 and Masen Ancira was 30th with 1,066. Joey Wheeler finished 38th with 1,045 and Maxwell Carroll was 78th with 882.
Kennedy Hogan was the top girl at 38th with 947 and Molly Doty took 42nd with 936. Sarah Roe rolled a 932 for 43rd, Victoria Roe was 53rd with 882 and Jacquelynn Davis took 60th with 872. Angie Pointer placed 70th by rolling an 823. – B.P.
