BAY CITY – The Lady Cavaliers’ basketball team cut its two-game losing streak short after toppling over Bay City Central in a dominant 57-20 win on Tuesday night. Carman-Ainsworth had been handed its only two losses of the season in the two games prior to Tuesday night.

Carman-Ainsworth jumped out to an 18-6 lead in the first and added a 9-4 second to lead 27-10 by halftime. The Cavaliers kept the game rolling in the second half, putting up a 16-6 third and 14-4 fourth, successfully holding Bay City Central in the single digits each quarter.

Destiny Strother led the Lady Cavs with 16 points. Jessiana Aaron added 12 points. Arie Lewis had 10 points as well and pulled down 12 rebounds.

Carman-Ainsworth, 7-2, hosts Saginaw at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
