FLINT – The Cavaliers’ boys basketball team dominated Bay City Central 77-35 on Tuesday night.

Carman-Ainsworth jumped out to a 24-12 lead after the opening quarter and never looked back, holding Central to 12 total points for the entirety of the second half.

Ja’kavien Lewis was on fire for the Cavs, as he outscored the entire Central team with 36 points. Lewis finished with six three-pointers, a rebound, an assist and three steals. Michael Fletcher added 14 points, seven rebounds and an assist. Chris Ballard finished with seven points and five rebounds. Courtney Thomas posted seven points, a rebound and an assist. Donnall Conway had a team-high three assists and four steals, while also scoring two points and pulling down a pair of rebounds.

Both Carman-Ainsworth and Central shot 57% from the field, but the Cavs more than doubled Central in shot attempts. The Cavs shot 28-for-49, while the Wolves went 13-for-23. Carman-Ainsworth also won the rebounding battle with a 20-12 advantage.

The Cavaliers were scheduled to travel to Davison last Friday night, but the game was canceled due to weather.

Carman-Ainsworth, 6-1, travels to Saginaw next Tuesday at 7 p.m.
