Carman-Ainsworth tennis dominates Kearsley

FLINT— Under difficult conditions at Kearsley High on Monday, the Carman-Ainsworth girls’ tennis team routed the Hornets, 8-0, despite cold wind whipping around all night. Yeon Jung Park was victorious in the No. 1 Singles spot, defeating Jordan LaForest, 6- 0, 6-0. Katie Wilson followed up by taking down Rachel Anderson, 6-2, 6-2, at the No. 2 slot, before the No. 3 Singles match up was won by Alexis Burnett, 6-2, 6-1, over Katlyn Haist. Taylor Kost completed the sweep of the singles matches with a triumph over Angelica James, 6-0, 6-0.

On the doubles side, Rachel Alexander/Hailey Hutchins took the win in the No. 1 match, 6-0, 6-0, over Sierra Dennis/Lauren Karram. Cionna Orr/Deshawna Psalms solidified the win at No. 2 Doubles, defeating Randeigh Dickinson/Ariel Dunning, 6-2, 6-2. At No. 3 Doubles, Whitney Reynolds/Rachel Sherwin secured a victory over Taylor Evans/Lacy Heidel, 6-0, 6-0, followed by Tanisha Howard/Ashleigh King topping Alondra Arambrula/Alicia Wheeler, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4 Doubles.
