Cavalier wrestlers fall to Mt. Pleasant

MIDLAND – The Carman- Ainsworth wrestling team lost 64-6 to Mt. Pleasant in a meet at Midland last Wednesday.

Brijesh Kumar, at 125 lbs., was the lone winner for the Cavaliers, winning his match by fall. At 112, Isaiah Robinson lost his match by technical fall, while Jabril Muhammad at 119 and Larry Brown at 130 both lost by fall. At 135, Sonny Morgan also lost by fall, as did Zion Yoder at 189. The Cavs lost by forfeit at 103, 140, 145, 152, 160 and 285, with double forfeits coming at both 171 and 215.

The Cavaliers were slated to compete in the Warren Woods-Tower Clash of Champions last Saturday, but were not among the teams listed in the event’s final results.

Carman-Ainsworth is slated to compete in the Flint Beecher Individual Tournament Saturday.
