GOODRICH – The Carman- Ainsworth boys’ cross country team took 11th with 294, while the Lady Cavaliers were 15th with 443 at the annual Kayla O’Mara Invite at Goodrich on Saturday. Hartland won the boys race with 86, Fenton was second with 91 and Linden was third with 105. On the girls’ side, Flushing was first with 67, Fenton second with 68 and Linden third with 115.
Jack Carter set the pace for the Carman-Ainsworth boys, taking fourth in 16:52.09. Kielin Thompson was 24th in 17:43.72 and Jack Roy was 45th in 18:33.72. Dalero McNeal finished in 19:30.18 to take 52nd followed by Caleb Rodgers in 55th with 21:05.31, Ian Wickham in 56th with 22:18.36. Zion Clingman in 57th with 23:25.61 and Alex Wickham in 58th with 24:06.15.
Ayianna Massey led the Lady Cavaliers, finishing 48th in 23:17.38. Priscilla Bradford-Walker took 58th in 24:42.51 and Mikaiah Holbrook was 64th in 25:54.55. Hannah Kirby ran a 31:14.24 to take 66th and Arcella Henderson was 67th in 31:46.98.
Carman-Ainsworth hosts the Cavalier Classic on Friday. – K.R.
