FLUSHING – Because the Carman-Ainsworth varsity boys’ basketball team was fortunate enough to draw a bye for the opening round of the Class A district at Flushing on Monday, the squad didn’t start the postseason until it faced Flint Metro League rival Swartz Creek yesterday in the semis.

The host Raiders eliminated Owosso 63-39 to advance to the semifinals yesterday against St. Johns. The championship game then takes place on Friday at 7 p.m. – M.S.
