FLINT — Carman-Ainsworth fell behind 16-6 after the first quarter and dropped a 59-35 decision to Midland Tuesday.

The Cavaliers trailed 28-16 at the half and 41-29 after three. The loss drops the Cavaliers to 7-7 on the season.

Sydnee McDonald had 21 points for Carman-Ainsworth. Natalia Kincaid chipped in eight.

The Cavaliers feel behind 19-11 after one and dropped a 56-45 decision to Lapeer Friday. Carman-Ainsworth cut the deficit to 27-24 at the break, but a 12-3 scoring edge by the Lightning in the third put the game away.

Kincaid had 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers. McDonald chipped in 15 and collected 10 caroms. — K.W.
