Cavaliers focus on fun, improvement

FLINT TWP. – The Carman- Ainsworth swim team will have to make up for the graduation of six key seniors, but will look to juniors Nathan Ratynski and Cameron Koegel to step up in a leadership role. The Cavaliers have suffered from a drop in numbers over the last few years and swims as a co-ed team.

“We have no chance at winning meets against teams with much more talent and much larger numbers, but I guarantee every single one of my swimmers will drop time by the end of the season,” said Carman-Ainsworth coach Abby Cowen, who is in her eighth year as varsity coach. “We plan to work hard, develop and improve upon stroke mechanics, and have a fun season! Grand Blanc will be a great addition to the SVL this year.”

Grand Blanc was voted out of the Kensington Lakes Activities Association and enters its first year as a member of the Valley.
