FLINT TOWNSHIP — The Carman-Ainsworth cross country teams hosted the Saginaw Valley League Jamboree on Tuesday with both teams placing ninth with the boys having 281 points and the girls 290. Mikaiah Holbrook paced the girls in 68th in 25:59.72, Niajah Hood was 72nd in 27:22.58, Bailey Curtis was 75th in 28:35.03 and Arianna Vantine was 76th in 28:35.57.

Rayven Brantley finished 77th in 28:36.11, Mikayla Holbrook was 78th in 29:07.75, Danielle King was 29:11.23 and Chante Boyd was 85th in 32:57.28. For the boys it was Joe Chinkeefatt in 48th in 19:43.50, Wyatt Pangerl was 75th in 21:33.35 and Davian Owens was 79th in 23:13.48.

Andrew Stephens placed 81st in 25:24.66, Juan Cunningham was 82nd in 28:22.20, Keegan Maguffee was 83rd in 29:38.98, David Newnham was 85th in 33:11.23 and Tyler Willis was 89th in 35:00.30.

The Cavalier boys finished fourth with 114 and the girls were ninth with 249 at Saturday’s Genesee Invitational at the Cummings Center in Mt. Morris. The boys’ team was led by Chinkeefatt in 18th place in 19:10.41 and Wyatt Pangerl was 27th in 20:00.73.

Stephens placed 31st in 23:59.46, Maguffee was 32nd in 28:19.66 and Willis finished 33rd in 30:16.26. Mikaiah Holbrook was the top girl for the Cavs in 15th place in 23:19.73, Brantley took 24th in 24:48.90, Mikayla Holbrook was 26th in 25:07.63 and Grace Pangerl placed 29th in 25:44.98.

In 30th was Curtis in 26:00.06, Vantine was 31st 26:03.81, Boyd was 33rd in 28:29.19, King was 34th in 28:47.26. – B.P.
