LANSING — The Flint Carman- Ainsworth boys’ and girls’ bowling teams are preparing for the regional tournament on Feb. 25-26. The tournament will be hosted by Grand Ledge at the Royal Scot Lanes in Lansing.
Joining the Cavs will be Alpena, Battle Creek Central, Battle Creek Lakeview, Bay City Central, Davison, Flint Northern, Flushing, Grand Ledge, Grand Blanc, Holt, Jackson, Lansing Everett and Saginaw Heritage.
The team portion of the regional will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. while the singles portion will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
The boys’ team is led by Quinton Burnett. He has one of the high games rolled this season with a 286.
The girls’ team has been ranked at one point this season and has two of the highest Baker games rolled this year with a 245 at the Flint Metro League Tournament and a 244 at the Bakers Dozen Tournament. They also have one of the highest two-game Baker series rolled with a 419.
If either team or individuals advance from the regional tournament they will advance to the state finals held on March 4-5 at M-66 Bowl in Battle Creek.
