FLINT – Josh Jackson rushed for 113 yards and three touchdowns on 18 carries, and Carman- Aisnworth beat Flint Northwestern 35-18 in a Saginaw Valley League-Red Division football game last Friday at Houston Stadium.

Jalen Lewis added two touchdowns and 93 yards on 14 carries as the Cavaliers, 2-2, 1-1 SVLRed, stayed in contention in the division race.

Carman-Ainsworth went ahead 7-6 in the first quarter and took a 16-6 lead into halftime. A 12-0 third quarter put the Cavs up 28-6, and they held off a 12-7 NW rally in the fourth.

Jackson also hit 16-of- 20 passes for 145 yards, including seven tosses to Cahlil Brownlee for 42 yards. Caylen Jones caught two passes for 34 yards and also had interception on defense. Carman-Ainsworth totaled 356 yards.

Ronald Roland had six tackles on defense.

Carman-Ainsworth will host Saginaw Arthur Hill, 0-4, 0-2, in another SVLRed game Friday.
