Cavaliers stumble in SVL quad

DAVISON – The Carman- Ainsworth wrestling team dropped a pair of matches against Saginaw Valley League opponents at Davison last Wednesday. Carman-Ainsworth was shut out, 74-0, against Davison and lost 66-12 to Grand Blanc.

Against Grand Blanc, Randall Broome at 215 and Trevon Bennett at 285 both picked up wins by forfeit.

Omar Al Hallak lost both of his matches by fall at 125, as did Larry Brown Jr. at 130, Nathan Taylor at 171 and Isaac Robinson at 189. Jacob Durbin at 160 lost by technical fall to Davison and by fall to Grand Blanc. Broome lost by fall to Davison and Bennett lost by decision to Davison.

On Saturday, the Cavs competed in the Genesee County Meet at Davison High School. Stats from the event were not posted to trackwrestling.com prior to our early holiday deadline Sunday morning.

Carman-Ainsworth is at New Lothrop, Saturday, Jan. 5.
