FENTON — The margin of victory was significant in the 11-team field at the coveted Genesee County swim and dive meet last Thursday- Saturday, with Grand Blanc taking top honors with 569.5 points and Ortonville-Brandon trailed in second place with 331 points, while Carman- Ainsworth/Flushing placed third with 254. Holly finished in fourth place with 224, Fenton tallied 205, Lapeer placed sixth with 170 and Flint Powers seventh with 129. Davison finished in eighth place with just eight swimmers and 118 points, Kearsley was ninth with 104, Swartz Creek was 10th with 85.5 and Mt. Morris placed last with 33 points.

In the 200 medley relay, Erick Skaff, Patrick Sharp, Anthony Summers and Mike Johns placed fourth in 1:51.90. Skaff went on to place third in the 200 IM touching the wall in 2:10.56. Johns picked up a third-place finish in the 50 freestyle in 24.02 with Austin Bower seventh in 24.85. In the one meter diving, Connar Funck was eighth with 243.10 points. Johns placed fourth in the 100 butterfly in 1:01.50, Sharp was third in the 100 freestyle in 53.16 and Skaff second in the 500 freestyle in 5:19.99. In the 200 free relay, Austin Bower, Jordan Michael, Chris Gill and Summers were sixth in 1:42.68. Sharp placed second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.11, while the 400 free relay team of Nick Price, Johns, Sharp and Skaff were second in 3:33.00.
