FENTON – Carman-Ainsworth’s boys’ swim and dive team put forth a great showing at the Genesee County Swimming and Diving Championships at Fenton on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, finishing the tournament in third with 262 points. Grand Blanc took first place with a 518 and Fenton was second with 332.

It was a third-place finish for the 200-yard freestyle relay team as David Burckhardt, Evan Snyder, Andrew Basinger and Paul Lucky finished the race in 1:38.97. The Cavaliers also placed third in the 400-yard freestyle relay, finishing in 3:40.22 with the combination of Cody McDonald, Tyler Pangerl, Snyder and Lucky.

The 200-yard medley relay team of Pangerl, Zak Wilkins, Burckhardt and McDonald placed fourth in 1:51.20 while Snyder also claimed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:59.25.

The Cavaliers will travel to Saginaw Heritage on Friday.
