SAGINAW TWP. — Carman- Ainsworth came away with no points in the Div. 1 tennis regional last Thursday at Saginaw Heritage.

Noah Reed dropped his opening match at No. 1 Singles, 1-6, 0-6, to Saginaw Heritage. Chris Crowder fell to Traverse City Western, 0-6, 1-6, at No. 2 Singles. Omeed Hekmati lost, 0-6, 0-6, to Midland at No. 3 Singles. Stanley Brantley bowed, 0-6, 0-6, to Holt at No. 4 Singles.

In doubles, Damon Haley/Mark D’Angelo fell, 0-6, 2-6, to secondseeded Holt at No. 1. Tyler Field/Luke Moore lost, 0-6, 0-6, to second-seeded Heritage at No. 2. Ethan Moore/Kyle Flucker lost to second-seeded Grand Blanc, 1- 6, 0-6, at No. 3. Jaylen Bransford/Vlad Li bowed, 0-6, 0- 6, to second-seeded Grand Blanc at No. 4.

Traverse City Central won the team title with 26 points and Midland was second with 22. Grand Blanc also qualified for state with 20 points. The state meet is Friday and Saturday at Midland Community Tennis Center. — D.N.
