Cavs 17th at Greater Flint Championships

MT. MORRIS – The Carman- Ainsworth cross country teams both placed 17th at Saturday’s Greater Flint Championships at the Cummings Center in Mt. Morris. The boys posted 456 points and the girls finished with 543.

Kielin Thompson led the boys in 16th in 17:08.24, Jack Roy placed 31st in 17:45.46 and Dalero McNeal finished in 19:22.33 for 61st. Micah Shalmy came in 67th in 22:27.06, Caleb Rodgers took 68th in 22:39.64 and Zion Clingman 69th in 23:29.55.

Pacing the girls was Ayianna Massey in 104th in 23:57.20, Rachel Allen placed 146th in 27:54.13 and Emma Thorpe 154th in 30:54.75. Hannah Kirby finished in 31:03.70 for 155th and Leah Allen was 157th in 42:58.00.

The Cavaliers will be at the Kayla O’Mara Invitational at Goodrich on Saturday. – B.P.
