RICHFIELD TWP. — The Carman-Ainsworth bowling teams battled at the Flint Metro Tournament at Richfield Lanes last Wednesday. Shamonica Simon and Kenzey Lord led the team with series scores of 650 and 648, which was fifth and sixth highest in the tournament out of 90 bowlers. Quinisha Burnett had a 212 and Kassidy Lord, 193. The Cavs qualified third among 18 teams after three games and seven head-to-head BAKER games, with the top four moving on to bracket play for a two-game BAKER total. The Cavs beat Tecumseh, 369 to 320, to make the championships against Kearsley, where they took a 45-pin lead, eventually beating the Hornets, 400- 392. The win gave the girls their second team championship of the season. Tecumseh and Kearsley are ranked 1 and 2 in Div. 2. — L.P.
