SAGINAW – The Carman-Ainsworth boys’ soccer team (1-7) traveled up to the Saginaw Soccer Complex on Tuesday to begin their postseason journey with a 7-0 win over Saginaw/Saginaw Arthur Hill (0-5). Game details, however, were not reported as we went to press Wednesday.

The Cavaliers will now move on to today’s semifinal to take on Grand Blanc (11-5-5) at 7 p.m. at Grand Blanc. The Bobcats also won big in their district opener on Tuesday over Davison (9-11-1), 5-0. Lapeer (5-5-1) drew a first-round bye and will now take on Swartz Creek (5-3) in the other semifinal after a 1-0 win by Creek over Flushing (1-14). – B.P.
