Cavs’ race to 10th, 14th place at Linden Invitational

LINDEN – The Carman-Ainsworth boys placed 10th with a 301, while the girls came in 14th with a 441 during Saturday’s Linden Invitational.

Kielin Thompson paced the boys with a finish of 18:16.64 for 23rd place, Jack Roy was 37th in 18:51.01 and Dalero McNeal 85th in 20:55.98. Ian Wickham took 105th in 24:35.64, Vincent Cook placed 106th in 24:56.04 and Zion Clingman 107th in 26:39.71.

The girls were led by Priscilla Bradford-Walker in 96th in 27:36.72, Rachel Allen was 102nd in 34:27.79 and C Coleman-Ervine 103rd in 35:51.39. Emma Thorpe crossed the finish line in 40:30.70 for 106th and Leah Allen was 107th in 47:32.71.

The Cavaliers were originally scheduled to host the Saginaw Valley League meet on Tuesday but it was rescheduled to Wednesday following press deadlines. – B.P.
