Cavs roll past Flint Powers


FLUSHING – The Carman- Ainsworth boys’ bowling team defeated Flint Powers Catholic 28-2 in match play Saturday at Colonial Lanes in Flushing. Carman-Ainsworth was led by junior Jordan Nunn, who bowled games of 242,226 for a two-game series of 468 followed by junior Jordan Bair with games of 224,204 for a series of 428.Senior Dequincy (D.Q.) Adams also bowled games of 204,192 for a 396 series total. — L.P.


The Cavaliers dropped a 103-59 decision to Kearsley/Clio in boys’ swimming action Tuesday. Carman- Ainsworth was second in the 200 medley relay. Katie Speaks finished third in the 200 IM. Wyatt Pangerl was second in the 50 free.

Tyler Pangerl was first in the 100 butterfly. Carso Kogel was first in the 100 free, Dorothy Dollinger was second and Clayton Johns was third. Tyler Pangerl also took the top spot in the 100 backstroke. Wyatt Pangerl was second and Kogel was third in the 100 breaststroke.

The foursome of Tyler Pangerl, Speaks, Olivia VanDuyne and Kogel took first in the 400 free relay. The Cavaliers were third in the 200 free relay. — K.W.
