Cavs’ season ends in district semis

GRAND BLANC – The Carman-Ainsworth girls’ soccer season came to a close on Tuesday in a 9-1 loss to host Grand Blanc in the Div. 1 soccer district. The Bobcats are ranked No. 4 in the state in Div. 1. Details of the contest were not made available.

The Cavaliers opened the postseason with an 8-0 victory over Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy at home last Wednesday. Myli Hamilton topped all scorers with four goals and Destinee Lester added two goals and an assist.

Taniya Boggan tallied once and added a helper and Jasia Caldwell and Payton Dixon each scored once. – B.P.
