FLUSHING — League play can be some of the most contentious of the season.
That wasn’t the case for the Carman-Ainsworth softball that had to swallow two shut-out losses to league rival Flushing on Monday, 13-0, 3-0. A pair of games against Flint Powers Catholic followed that on Monday.
This time, the girls earned their first win of the season with a solid 7-4 win in game one. The nightcap was a different story with the Chargers taking control to the tune of a 19-3 win.
Right on the heels of that twin bill came a doubleheader against Clio of the Flint Metro League on Tuesday, with the Lady Cavaliers losing the opener, 15-0, and the nightcap, 7-1.
Individual players’ stats were not available, as another road trip was in the cards today as the team headed off to face Metro League Holly at 4 p.m.
